A. General

In relation to the usage of the Platform and the delivery of the Services on the Platform, Pathfinder Research and Consultancy Center (PathfinderRC) is the controller of the Personal Information that it collects and processes. Below is a list of the types of Personal Information we may collect in connection with such use.

“Personal Information” refers to any information that can be used to identify a User, such as their first and last name, identification number, email address, age, gender, location, photograph, and/or phone number, which they supply while registering for an account or at any other time in the future on the Platform.

Please refrain from giving PathfinderRC any personal information unless specifically asked for by us. If you provide any personal information to PathfinderRC without first receiving our express request, then we are not responsible for the personal information you choose to provide.

In order to deliver our Services on the Platform, to connect with you, or to improve our Services, we only gather information about you when we have a cause to do so.

  1.  Basic account information: You must register with us and create an account in order to use some features of the Platform. We want some very basic information, such as your name, email address, state of residence, password, username, and phone number.

Information you submit voluntarily: When you fill out your profile on the Platform, you have the option of including your profile photo, the name of the school you are now attending, and your current grade. If and when you want to update your profile image, we specifically request access to your device’s camera. This is not required. Nobody on or off the Platform can see this information.
  3. We may also retain any phone or mobile numbers you provide us with your communication, whether it be in writing (including emails) or verbally (over the phone or otherwise). When you write to us with a question or to ask for assistance, we will keep that correspondence and the email address for future use. We’ll keep track of the pages you visit on our platform so we can analyze the data and perhaps make improvements to the platform and the services. When you use forms, e-forms, email, phone, or other methods to contact us, we may keep a record of our correspondence, including any call recordings or emails, if any, as permitted by applicable law. You may also give us your Personal Information or other information when you respond to surveys, participate in competitions, events, competitions, webinars, etc., hosted by PathfinderRC, whether on the Platform or elsewhere, or when you enter contests, tests, events, competitions, webinars, etc. We specifically request your device’s camera access when you use our premium doubt-solving tool so that you can send us any connected images.

  4. You can also choose to provide location-related information, such as access to GPS, which will allow us, with your permission, to offer tailored offerings for particular services where location data is relevant and/or applicable, such as informing you whether services on the Platform that you have expressed interest in may be accessed at or near your location.

Information that we automatically gather:

  1. Information about your device and access logs are collected when you use our Platform. This information includes the type of browser you are using, your IP address, any unique device identifiers, the language you prefer, the website you were referred from, the date and time you accessed our Platform, your operating system, and any information about your mobile network. Along with information about your Supported Device (such as its screen size, cellular network name, and manufacturer), we also gather data about how you use our Platform (such as page views, support document searches, features that are enabled for your account, and interactions with other aspects of our Services). To enhance and adapt the Platform and Services we offer, including offering automatic upgrades to newer versions of our Platform and developing new features based on Platform usage analysis, we use the information you provide to us. Additionally, we use your information to protect PathfinderRC’s rights and property, the rights of a third party, or the safety of PathfinderRC, its users, or others. We do this by preventing, detecting, investigating, and taking action against criminal activity, fraud, misuse of or damage to our Platform or network, and other threats and violations. The execution of a contract between you and us, along with your consent or, where appropriate, our legitimate interests in the efficient management of our Platform, serve as the legal foundation for this processing.
  3. To promote our Platform and connect with You: We’ll use your information to create a more specialized marketing campaign for our Platform, to get in touch with you about promotions, new goods and services, or even to ask for your comments on the Platform. The performance of a contract between you and us, along with your consent or, where appropriate, our legitimate interests in the correct administration of our Platform, serves as the legal basis for this processing.
  4. For the purpose of establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims, whether in judicial, administrative, or other processes, we may process any Personal Information included in this Policy. The advertisements that appear on our websites may occasionally be served directly to Your browser by advertisers or advertising agencies acting on their behalf. When this occurs, Your IP address is immediately sent to them. They might also use cookies to tailor the content of their adverts and gauge how effective their ads are. The information practices of these advertisers and third-party websites are not covered by our Policy because we do not have access to or control over cookies or any other features that they may use. Please be aware that unsubscribing from promotional email communications will not stop us from communicating with you in the future.
